    THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO HAVE LUNCH ! We tried this deli about 6 years ago while on a short visit to New Orleans and their muffuletta sandwich was incredibly satisfying. Fast forward to May 2017 and we're visiting again and it's still fantastic. Of course silly us forgot just how big a full sandwich is and we could only get through half. At 20 bucks for the whole shebang it sounds a lot of dough but the sandwich is really huge and they stack plenty of tasty filling on it. We gave the the other half to a homeless lady just outside. Thanks to Bradley for the friendly service and also to John the manager for the nice welcome.

    I don't usually care for cold sandwiches, but oh my goodness! The Mufaletta was awesome! It was a quaint little grocery store with a table and chairs in the back. Well worth the wait.

    My wife and I stopped in to get the famous muffuletta sandwich. We got a half sandwich, which was the perfect amount for a not too heavy lunch. Price was good and there was seating and a restroom. Will come back next time in New Orleans.

    Very cool store but I came for one reason and it changed me! I will remember that moment I ate this muffuletta for the rest of my life. Truly exceptional and far superior to its imitators!

    Highly recommend Central Grocery! The Muffaletta did not disappoint. The line was long but moved very quickly! Inexpensive & delicious lunch. My husband & I split a half sandwich for $12 & it was more than enough food!
